Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Koursio mobile application and web platform operated by Bitlogic Technology Ghana. By accessing or using Koursio, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • Users aged 13–17 require acknowledgement of parental/guardian consent.
  • Users under 13 may only use Koursio with verified parental consent.
  • Teachers and institutional users must be at least 18 years old.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must not share your account or allow others to access it.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts with false or misleading information.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Cheat on assessments or manipulate scores
  • Share assessment questions or answers outside the platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers on the platform
  • Harass, bully, or abuse other users
  • Upload inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content

4. Credits and Payments

  • Koursio uses a credit system to access assessments.
  • New users receive free starter credits upon registration.
  • Additional credits can be purchased via mobile money through Paystack.
  • Credits are non-refundable unless required by applicable Ghanaian law.
  • Credits have no monetary cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred.
  • We reserve the right to modify credit pricing with reasonable notice.

5. Intellectual Property

  • All assessment content, platform design, and software are owned by Bitlogic Technology Ghana.
  • You retain ownership of your personal data and assessment results.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without written permission.
  • Teachers who create assessments retain rights to their original questions but grant us a licence to host them on the platform.

6. Gamification and Leaderboards

  • XP, badges, achievements, and leaderboard rankings are for engagement purposes only.
  • We reserve the right to adjust gamification mechanics and reset rankings if manipulation is detected.
  • Leaderboard participation displays your name publicly to other platform users.

7. Assessment Results and Data

  • Assessment results are provided for educational purposes only.
  • Results do not constitute official academic certifications unless explicitly stated by an institution.
  • You may share your results voluntarily. Shared results are accessible via link.
  • We are not responsible for how you or others use shared assessment data.

8. Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time.
  • We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

9. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Unused credits are forfeited upon account deletion.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law:

  • Koursio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Ghana, or through mediation/arbitration if mutually agreed.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
